Kevin began blending reggae, funk and rock while drawing inspiration from Bob Marley, Larry Graham and James Brown, building a sound that was raw, soulful and original.
Vince Huckaby, Floyd Donaldson, Stann Champion and Fritz Legros joined, each adding their own voice. Caribbean elements and strong frontmanship gave the band real presence.
Gypsy Fari stayed true to original music, blending genres and cultures. Strengthened by Ron Prince, they carried their multicultural sound far beyond Chicago.
